Save resources, Take up Horticulture Government Incentive Scheme

“Save electricity & water, take up horticulture, earn more income than conventional crops”

An exclusive initiative of the Punjab Government to promote diversification in agriculture in the state, saving water and electricity.

Incentive amount of Rs.10000/- per acre for new plantation.

  • This is the first of its kind scheme in the country.
  • There is no limit to the area to be brought under this scheme.
  • An incentive amount of Rs.10000/- per acre will be given under this scheme.
  • For this scheme the garden must be fitted with a drip system. There is also provision of subsidy from the Department of Land and Water Conservation for installation of drip system.
  • Under this scheme, by planting a garden per acre of wheat-paddy

About 80.00 lakh liters of water will be saved over the crop cycle.
