ROCK GARDEN

The Rock Garden in Baradari Gardens is a unique attraction that features various rock formations and sculptures. It is an example of the fusion of Mughal and colonial architectural styles, with rock formations and sculptures adorned with colorful pebbles and plants. In the garden the Bird Aviary is another attraction, housing a variety of bird species which provides an opportunity for visitors to observe and learn about different bird species in a natural setting. It is a popular destination for bird enthusiasts and ornithologists who want to study and observe the behavior of various bird species.

Golden Pheasant

The golden pheasant (Chrysolophus pictus), also known as the Chinese pheasant, and rainbow pheasant, is a gamebird of the order Galliformes (gallinaceous birds) and the family Phasianidae (pheasants). It is native to forests in mountainous areas of western China, The adult male is 90–105 cm (35–41 in) in length, its tail accounting for two-thirds of the total length.

Reeves Pheasant

Reeves’s pheasant (Syrmaticus reevesii) is a large pheasant within the genus Syrmaticus. It is endemic to China. It is named after the British naturalist John Reeves, who first introduced live specimens to Europe in 1831. Males measure 210 cm long and weigh 1,529 g. The male is brightly plumaged with a scaled golden white and red body plumage, grey legs, brown iris and bare red skin around the eye.

The chicken (Gallus domesticus)

The chicken (Gallus domesticus) is a domesticated species that arose from the red junglefowl, originally from Southeast Asia. They have also partially hybridized with other wild species of junglefowl. Chickens are one of the most common and widespread domestic animals. More than 50 billion chickens are reared annually as a source of meat and eggs.

Cockatiel(Grey + White)

The cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus), also known as the weero/weiro or quarrion, is a medium-sized. parrot that is a member of its own branch of the cockatoo family endemic to Australia. They are prized as household pets and companion parrots throughout the world and are relatively easy to breed compared to other parrots. At 30 to 33 cm, the cockatiel is the smallest of the cockatoos.

Silver Dove

The silver-capped fruit dove (Ptilinopus richardsii) is a species of bird in the family Columbidae. It is endemic to Solomon Islands. Males have a bright silver head and chest, green wings, and a bright orange belly and undertail. Females are more uniformly green, with a yellow undertail and a grayish cast to the face. In flight, wings appear strongly blue. Occurs alongside Yellow-bibbed and White-headed Fruit-Doves, but male Silver-capped almost impossible to misidentify. Female is more similar to the other species, but gray face, dark beady eye, and silverish throat are noticeable.

Budgerigar

The budgerigar ( Melopsittacus undulatus), also known as the common parakeet, shell parakeet or budgie ,is a small, long-tailed, seed-eating parrot. Budgies are the only species in the genus Melopsittacus. They are likely the third most popular pet in the world, after the domesticated dog and cat. Wild budgerigars average 18 cm long, weigh 30–40 grams, 12 inch. in wingspan, and display a light green body color (abdomen and rumps).

The Rock Pigeon

The domestic pigeon (Columba livia domestica ) is a pigeon subspecies that was derived from the rock dove or rock pigeon. The rock pigeon is the world’s oldest domesticated bird and they have held historical importance to humans as pets, holy animals, and messengers. The earliest recorded mention of pigeons comes from Mesopotamia some 5,000 years ago. A wild-type pigeon is closest in markings to the rock dove, which possesses a gradienting, slate-grey head and body with an green-purple iridescent neck, and ash-grey wings.

Nanday Conure

The nanday parakeet (Aratinga nenday), also known as the black-hooded parakeet or nanday conure, is a medium-small, mostly green, Neotropical parrot native to continental South America.The nanday parakeet is 27–30 cm long, weighs 140 g , and is mostly green in color. Its most distinguishing characteristic, for which it is named, is its black facial mask and beak. It also shows black, trailing flight feathers on its wings and has a long tail edged at the end in blue.

Silky Fowl

The Silkie (also known as the Silky or Chinese silk chicken) is a breed of chicken named for its atypically fluffy plumage, which is said to feel like silk and satin. The breed has several other unusual qualities, such as black skin and bones, blue earlobes, and five toes on each foot, whereas most chickens have only four. They are often exhibited in poultry shows, and also appear in various colors.

Wild Turkey

Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) is an upland game bird native to North America, one of two extant species of turkey and the heaviest member of the order Galliformes. It is the ancestor to the domestic turkey. An adult male (gobbler) normally weighs from 5 to 11 kg and measures 100–125 cm in length. The adult female (hen) is typically much smaller at 2.5–5.4 kg and is 76 to 95 cm long.Fully-grown wild turkeys have long, reddish-yellow to grayish-green legs. Each foot has three front toes, with a shorter, rear-facing toe; males have a spur behind each of their lower legs used to spar with other maless

Onagadori Hen

The Onagadori is a historic Japanese breed of chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is characterised by an exceptionally long tail. It was bred in the seventeenth century on Shikoku island in southern Japan.The principal characteristic of the Onagadori has an exceptionally long tail, which exceeds 1.5 metres, and has been known to reach 12 m. The tail consists of about 16–18 feathers, which under the right conditions never moult, and grow rapidly, gaining some 0.7–1.3 m per year.
