Every year, Department of Horticulture, Patiala prepare different types of fruit’s squashes. As the Director Narinder Bir Singh Mann said Squashes are made of fruits such as litchi, mango, oranges, Bael etc. available at affordable prices for the public

Deputy Director Sandeep Singh Grewal, mentioned that students and common people are given training of processing and maintenance of fruits from which they can make jam, chutney, juices and pickles.

These squashes are prepared in Government’s fruit preservation laboratory which is situated at Baradari Gardens, Patiala. These squashes are supplied to various districts of Punjab, Quoted by Laboratory In-charge Horticulture Officer Kulwinder Singh.
